This is a limited prototype set that includes the new Scout CUB MCQ Ultralight and Big Boy Shorty Driver.
The new Scout Compact Utility Blade™ Monocoque takes a different approach in production to the original Scout CUB but keeps the same design aesthetics and functions.
The word monocoque is a French term for "single shell" and the CUB MCQ was redesigned to be more efficiently manufactured using a one-piece billet machined frame. This CUB MCQ Ultralight version is machined from Aluminum and weighs in at 0.5 oz.
Originally designed from a personal shop life necessity and developed for those that work and do, the updated Scout CUB MCQ is a minimalistic everyday carry pocket tool with just the essentials. It features a one-handed retractable utility blade that is easily replaceable without any extra tools.
Not much bigger than the blade it uses, the CUB MCQ’s compact size easily fits in your pocket for quick and easy access. Just like the original Scout CUB, it has a built-in bottle opener and flathead screwdriver pry tip.
The Big Boy Shorty Driver is as it's named. Based on the original BB Driver, this special run retains the same diameter and full knurled grip but is shortened to the length of the normal Hex Bit Drivers. Last picture shows the comparison versus a full length BB Driver.
Both the CUB and Driver are machined from solid Aluminum with a Blasted & Silver Nickel plated finish. The CUB features a Titanium pocket clip and hardware. A "Stanley Classic 1992" utility blade is included. Bit set sold separately.
