The new Scout Compact Utility Blade™ Monocoque takes a different approach in production to the original Scout CUB but keeps the same design aesthetics and functions.
The word monocoque is a French term for "single shell" and the CUB MCQ was redesigned to be more efficiently manufactured using a one-piece billet machined frame.
Originally designed from a personal shop life necessity and developed for those that work and do, the updated Scout CUB MCQ is still a minimalistic everyday carry pocket tool with just the essentials. It features a one-handed retractable utility blade that is easily replaceable without any extra tools.
Not much bigger than the blade it uses, the CUB MCQ’s compact size easily fits in your pocket for quick and easy access. Just like the original Scout CUB, it has a built-in bottle opener and flathead screwdriver pry tip.
Machined from one piece, this is a small prototype run in Brass with Titanium pocket clip and hardware. A "Stanley Classic 1992" utility blade is included.
